Adrien joined La Paz Group in 2009, responsible for financing initiatives related to
sustainable entrepreneurship. Currently based in Punta Arenas, Chile, he is focused on sponsorship development for the Wenger Patagonian Expedition Race. His work in sustainable finance started in 2007 with Kenmar, where he conducted research for the Global Eco Fund, a joint venture with ABN Amro based in New York. His analysis supported investment decisions centered on SRI and ESG financial principles.
He then moved to the SAM Group in Zurich, Switzerland, a premier sustainable asset management company. Adrien worked in Research with the co-directors, focusing on climate change related financial activities primarily for SAM’s Climate Fund. Analysis focused on industrials, utilities, and carbon trading for the fund. He served as liaison between SAM and its research analysts, and invited companies to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) process; he was also responsible for assessments used to update criteria making SAM’s sustainability analysis more stringent.
Adrien earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from Amherst College in 2006. Raised in Chicago in a Franco-Austrian household, he speaks French, German, and English fluently and is currently learning Spanish. An avid athlete, Adrien plays football
(soccer) and loves skiing and hiking..
