A student of cultural and linguistic sensibility by virtue of dual citizenship and an international upbringing, Lucas has acquired through personal experience a first-hand awareness of cultural richness and diversity. Complementing such experiences with academic curiosity has afforded him the analytical and conceptual tools to construct comprehensive views of cultural systems. This combination led him to pursue an education at the University of Pennsylvania's specialized joint-degree Huntsman Program combining Business and International Studies in Japanese, which included a year-long exchange at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan.

Identified for his extensive knowledge of the Japanese culture and language coupled with a formal education in business, Lucas was chosen to head La Paz Group's initiative to offer services in the Japanese market.
