Antoine is a hands-on practitioner in the field of conservation-oriented tourism with expertise in planning, product development, destination marketing, and public-private sector partnerships. From 1996-2004 he worked with French specialized outbound tour operators promoting, selling and guiding ecotourism and trekking trips working with all levels of the market chain, advising the tour operators on all aspects of activities in order to ensure greater participation of local communities and to minimize impacts. He developed these programs in destinations such as: Spain; Italy; Greece; Morocco; Yemen; Namibia; Cape-Verde; Mexico; Peru; Bolivia; Chile; Argentina; Paraguay; Uruguay; and Brasil. Following his Masters degree he served during 2006 and 2007 as Sustainable Tourism Advisor for the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) in Ebolowa, Cameroon, responsible for assisting the National Tourism Administration and working with local communities on capacity building and institutional reinforcement for a community-based tourism project.

After completing those responsibilities he became the general manager of Mosq’oywasi in Cusco, Peru, with responsibility for product development, organization, and web marketing for hospitality and tour operations. He received his MA in Sustainable & Responsible Tourism from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Switzerland. He also earned a Diploma in “Tourism, Culture and Development” at La Sorbonne in Paris, France, and a trilingual Law degree from the Pierre Mendès France University of Grenoble. In addition to his native French, he speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently.
