Belen started
her career in the hospitality sector in 1989, working in
operations and graduating from hotel school in 1992 in
Argentina. She then moved to France to earn an MBA in
International Hospitality Management at IMHI, while
continuing to work with Accor in Asia and in other
industry sectors such as IH&RA and hotel schools. Upon
graduation, she worked for Chateauform’ in France and
then Sodexho in Argentina managing restaurants. In 1997
she was recruited by Micros Fidelio Latin America to
join the startup of their regional office, specifically
in their back office products training the distribution
channel, assisting in complex sales and managing large
projects, adapting and launching new products to the
region and as a consultant assisting customers in
improving their operations.
In 2001 she was promoted to Major Accounts Manager for
Latin America. Her responsibilities included pre-sales
activities, training, assisting operations, procedures
standardization, customized needs’ development, public
relations, negotiating strategic alliances and customer
satisfaction throughout Latin America and Caribbean for
approximately 30 restaurant chains. In 2004 she departed
Micros, first returning to Europe in hotel operations
and then starting her own hospitality operations
consultancy. Since then she has been training staff and
management for both independent and chain hotel
companies as well as members of hotel and restaurant
associations throughout Argentina and Chile. She also
teaches in universities and writes articles on
hospitality management for trade publications, and
recently graduated from CAVE as Professional Sommelier.
Belen is fluent in English and French in addition to her
native Spanish. |
