In over twenty
two years of operations management experience in the
hospitality industry James has managed and trained staff
in a variety of hospitality operations capacities, in
hotels, restaurants and clubs. He joined La Paz Group in
2008 after serving as a professional trainer for several
years on behalf of some of the finest hospitality
organizations in the world. Prior to his work as an
independent professional trainer he was with
Ritz-Carlton for six years in senior operations
management positions, and prior to that he worked seven
years in various property management positions with
Marriott.
James is responsible for operations training in La Paz
Group hospitality sector projects requiring the
development of the following skills among entrepreneurs
and/or staff: relationship/team-work abilities; customer
service and client relations skills; organization skills
and attention to detail; ability to interact with
demanding clientele; event planning and coordination;
marketing and promotions development; meeting and
conference planning; professional presentations;
strategic planning; TQM principles; problem-solving
methods; and food and beverage preparation and
presentation. He earned his BA in Psychology from the
University of Maryland, College Park, MD. |
